A superb American solid sterling silver sugar sifter spoon. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of Gorham and dates to c1870. It is pattern number 44. It has been made in the form of a leaf with ivy climbing up the handle. The bowl is lightly gilded. It is in superb condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measure approx. 6.25 inches (16cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.5cm) wide and weighs 35 grams. A very high quality rare piece.
