A beautiful German antique solid silver gilt jam or preserve spoon. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 800 standard mark and the makers mark AD for Doll Alfred of Pforzheim. I would date this piece to c1900. It has been very nicely designed with the handle being cast in the form of flowers and the bowl engraved with flowers. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures almost 5 inches (12.5cm) long by almost 1.25 inches (3.1cm) wide and weighs 18 grams. A very well made piece.
