A huge heavy very rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver serving ladle. It is hallmarked for London 1890 with the maker’s marks being that of Charles Stuart Harris. It has been superbly made to what is termed Triton pattern - very seldom seen. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, light marks to the bowl from use. It measures approx. 13 inches (33cm) long by 4 inches (9.8cm) wide and weighs a very impressive 246 grams. A top quality rare piece.
