A super quality cased set of English Georgian antique solid sterling silver gilt serving spoons. They are hallmarked for London 1818 with the maker being William Eley I & William Fearn. They have been beautifully made with the bowls being engraved with ferns - possibly done slight later during the Fern Fever period c1860 when mainly well to do ladies travelled the country in search for rare specimens. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the case is equally superb with just a small loss to the lid covering - see final photo. They measure approx. 8.5 inches (21.4cm) long by over 1.75 inches (4.7cm) wide and have a combined weight of 100 grams excluding the case. A super quality eye-catching set.
