A superb English solid sterling silver place card or menu holder. It is hallmarked for London 1978 with the maker being Thomas Charles Jarvis. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of a chimney sweep with the milestone, which holds the place card being numbered 1. There was a set produced by TC Jarvis - all Victorian street characters. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) tall by 1.75 inches (4.8cm) across the base and weighs 56 grams. An interesting well made piece.
