A superb huge heavy English solid sterling silver serving ladle. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1898 with the makers mark being that of Joseph Rodgers & Sons. It has been beautifully designed having curved Old English Pattern handle and has been engraved with a crest used by the Moore Meynell Carrick and Andrews families. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.5cm) long by 4.25 inches (11cm) wide and weighs a very impressive 236 grams. A very high quality piece.
